The CHILL Foundation began as a local community program in Burlington,
Vermont, with the aim of providing underprivileged kids ages 10-18
with an opportunity to learn something new: snowboarding. They use
board sports to help kids accomplish goals they never thought they
could while teaching them some of the most important lessons of life-patience,
persistence, responsibility, courage, integrity, and pride-all through
positive adult role models who treat them with respect and encouragement. |

Vermont Children's Hospital at Fletcher Allen Health Care places
the well-being of our community's children first. Our hospital within
a hospital combines advanced techniques in pediatric care with a family-centered
approach to redefine how children's care is delivered. In this model,
parents are not just involved in the process, but are encouraged to
take a lead role in shaping the care their child receives. |

The Flynn Center offers a full range of cultural and educational
experiences to our community and plays an important role in nurturing
the creative development of new work by both national and local performing
artists.

In 1983, Dr. Podhajski founded the Stern Center, a nonprofit center
dedicated to providing services for children and adults with learning
disabilities. Through our direct services for individuals, professional
development for educators, and research programs, we are the only
resource of this kind in northern New England and upstate New York.
Stern Center staff work as partners with parents, teachers, and medical
professionals to build bridges for learning. With facilities in Williston
and White River Junction, Vermont, the Stern Center is a leader in
Vermont’s literacy effort. |

In order to strengthen our community's ability to assure safety
and nurturance for children at risk of abuse and neglect and their
families, and to reduce their exposure to violence, we will:
Strengthen, develop and support strategic collaborations among public
and private organizations to improve outcomes for children and families.
Increase and sustain resources to strengthen services to families
whose children are at risk of child abuse and neglect.
Advocate for public policy and systems changes that support the safety
and well-being of children and families. |
We believe in supporting our community, and go out of our way to help
non-profit organizations. We have built a sound reputation helping many
of the groups in the greater Lake Champlain Valley region, and continue
to pursue the real goal of healthy living. If every person and organization
was a little more conscious to reduce, reuse, and recycle, we could all
make a difference together. We sell items for non-profit organizations
at a reduced commission. Send
us an email for more information.
