It excels at finding and recording frequencies for security, law enforcement, and recreational monitoring applications. For discreet recording, it is small enough to fit into a pocket. It has 5 different modes (normal, filter, capture, recall, and sleep ). The Scout was in good working condition when recently removed from service. It is in good cosmetic condition with a few scuffs. The vibrate function does not work and the belt clip needs to be replaced, both of which could be fixed by sending the unit back to Optoelectronics.
