Vintage Stephens 15" Tru-Sonic Speaker P-52 Woofer
This listing is for a very nice vintage 15" speaker made by Stephens Manufacturing Corp. This is a Tru-Sonic speaker, Model P-52 and serial number 32560. It also says LX-3 on the metal label. It is in great overall condition and looks practically like new. This came out of a 1950 Electro-Voice Brocinier corner cabinet which was a Klipschorn style unit licensed by Klipsch in the 1950s. This speaker was the low end for this cabinet which originally included an Altec top end. The Altec was replaced in the '50s with a 24" x 9" Radio Shack midrange horn and a small Electro-Voice Model T35 tweeter horn. This cabinet was in the possession of the original owner until this month when he decided to sell it through Global Garage Sale. We sold it to a buyer who wanted the speakers removed and shipped to him. We did the work and then the transaction was never completed, so we are now selling the individual speakers. The midrange horn, Electro-Voice horn and crossover, and Brocinier K16 Dividing Network will be listed separately in the next day or two. They are all in fantastic condition and were being used daily until last month. This Stephens speaker will be packed professionally to arrive safely. Due to the nature of vintage electronics we are selling this speaker as-is with no warranty. We have a low opening bid and no reserve price, so don't miss your chance to win!
