John Kennedy JFK Signed Letter + 1st Ed Book
This listing is for a rare collection of three pieces of JFK memorabilia. The lot includes a hand signed letter, a hand signed first edition of his book 'The Strategy of Peace', and a 1960 delegate paperweight. John F. Kennedy, while still a senator, sent this book with accompanying letter to Robert Larrow, governor of Vermont in 1958 and Chairman of the Vermont Democratic Party in 1960. Larrow was elected a delegate to the 1960 Democratic National Convention in Los Angeles where he was one of 350 to receive the paperweight. It features JFK's Navy boat PT-109 with his signature imbedded in the lucite. It's rare to find such a collection of early signed JFK items with such provenance. Larrow came from humble beginnings in the rural community of Vergennes, Vermont. He graduated from Holy Cross in 1936 and received his law degree from Harvard in 1939. In 1974, the then Superior Judge was elected to the Vermont Supreme Court. He was the last judge to be elected to the court by the legislative process, as all subsequent judges have been nominated by the Governor. Robert Larrow is often used as an example of old fashioned Yankee Justice in law school classrooms. These items are in very good condition and being sold by a family member of Robert Larrow. A written letter of authenticity from the seller will be sent to the winning bidder along with these items. This listing has a low opening bid and no reserve price so don't miss your chance to win!
