2 Audubon Prints Moose Deer 76 American Black Bear 141

This listing is for a pair of antique Audubon nature prints. According to the labels on the back, they're from "The Quadrupeds of North America Octavo Editions" and were published in 1851. One print is titled "Moose Deer" and is number 16 of plate LXXVI (#76). The other print is titled "American Black Bear" and is number 29 of plate CXLI (#141). The viewable portions of the prints measure about 8 7/8" x 6 3/8" inches and the frames themselves measure about 11" x 14" inches. The lower left hand corners are marked "Drawn from Nature by J. W. Audubon." The centers read "On Stone by W. E. Hitchcock." The lower right hand corners have "Lith. Printed & Col. by J.T. Bowen Phil[ad]." The prints are in very good overall condition with some light discoloration. We cannot determine if the binding edge has been trimmed off without removing the prints from their frames.
