Josh Simpson 6" Glass Megaplanet Planet Paperweight NR!
This listing is for an original Josh Simpson Inhabited Megaplanet paperweight. This gorgeous hand blown glass sculpture measures 6" inches in diameter and features some incredible designs of shape and color. The paperweight is signed and dated 5-2-02 on the base. It has a 2 1/8" inch perfectly round, flat portal located about 2/3 of the way up on one side. It's in very good overall condition. There is a small area (about 1" x 2") to the left of the portal where it looks like the globe was polished down at one time to remove a scuff or scratch. It's only visible when looking at at a certain angle and makes the glass surface appear slightly wavy in that area. We tried to show this area in the second to last photo below. There is a tiny ding about an inch from the base, shown in the last photo below. There is also a very small scratch on the face of the portal itself. This listing has a super low opening bid and no reserve price so don't miss your chance to get a great deal!
From the Josh Simpson website:
Solid spherical glass sculpture of an imaginary Planet with filigrana cane and precious metals.
The surface of these Planets may have bubbles (force fields), evidence of roads and communication links, and kaleidoscopic patterns evoking unseen landscapes and underwater vistas. There may even be ancient, extinct volcanoes. I hope when you look closer at one of these worlds you'll lose yourself in its textures and colors. - Josh
