82 New York Indian Seneca Arrowhead Celt Collection Lot
This listing is for a great collection of authentic Native American stone tools. They were found many years ago on a farm in Western New York, in an area known to have been populated by the Seneca. The Seneca were the largest of the five tribes which comprised the Iroquois League or the Five Nations. This collection is made up mostly of projectile points, with styles that look to range from Early Archaic through Woodland Periods. Some of them appear to be Otter Creek, Brewerton, Jack's Reef, Susqehanna and Normanskill, although we cannot confirm this with certainty. There are also three small scrapers and a nice ground stone celt. The largest point measures 4 3/8" inches long and 2 1/4" inches wide. The celt measures 3 1/4" inches long, 1 5/8" inches wide and 7/8" inches thick. The points are in a variety of conditions and we have included a number of photos below. Please let us know if you have any questions about particular pieces. We have a low opening bid and no reserve price, so don't miss your chance to add these to your collection.
