This listing is for an historical Staffordshire plate. It depicts Thomas MacDonnough's victory during the Battle of Plattsburgh (also known as the Battle of Lake Champlain) during the War of 1812. The plate measures about 10.25" inches in diameter. It has "E Wood & Sons Burslem Warranted Semi China" stamped into the bottom. The plate is in very good overall condition with some minor crazing.
