Vtg 1942 WWII-Era IS Silverplated Cigar Box Humidor NR!
This listing is for a vintage silverplated cigar box with a figure of a horse on top. It belonged to the seller's great-grandfather, Miles Standish Sawyer, who was a major fundraiser for the Rutland, Vermont hospital in around the time of World War II. The lid is engraved, "To M.S. Sawyer in appreciation of services to the Rutland Hospital presented by the staff 1942." The bottom is stamped "Tropical by International Silver Co. 8154." The cigar box measures about 7 1/4" wide by 4 1/4" deep by 3 1/4" high and is in very good overall condition with some minor scuffs and tarnish.
