Antique J.H. Rowe & Co Dory Fishing Boat Ship Compass +
This listing is for an antique compass made by J.H. Rowe & Co in Gloucester, Massachusetts. The seller told us he bought it at an estate sale about 40 years ago. According to our research, this is a dory's compass. The box measures 5" x 5" x 4" and is stamped "Brass" on the front. The center of the compass is about 3" in diameter. The compass is in good cosmetic condition with light scuffs and a ding on the bottom and the box has a crack along the bottom. The center of the compass moves when you rotate the box but we aren't sure how accurate it is. For this reason, it's being sold strictly as a collectible.
