Vintage Deering Calico Resonator Banjo #0717089-0780 With Hardshell Case + Tuner
This listing is for a gorgeous Deering Calico Banjo. The serial number is 0717089-0780. Based on our research, this means it was made in July of 1989. The banjo is in near mint condition without any scratches or dings that we could see. There are some very light scuffs on the back of the resonator. The seller has owned it for the past 20 years, during which time it has been played very little. The Calico features beautiful flamed maple with a honey gloss finish and some fancy mother of pearl inlays on the headstock and fretboard. The banjo has a new Deering head and comes in a very nice hardshell case (Made in Canada). It also comes with a leather strap and a Sabine ST-1000 Chromatic Tuner. The tuner is missing the battery cover. The chrome is dull in spots and could be polished to shine. The small part of the tailpiece that flips up to cover the string ends has a slight bend and could probably be straightened out. We have a very reasonable opening bid price, so don't miss your chance to win!
