Antique Wood Receipt Holder Clipboard Lot Schlicht & Field Pat 1879 Yawman Erbe
This listing is for a collection of 3 antique wooden clipboards. Two of them are receipt holders and one is a standard clipboard. One of the receipt holders was made by Schlicht & Field in Rochester, New York and has a patent date of July 29, 1879. It measures approximately 15" inches tall and 9" inches wide and has a hole puncher at the bottom. On the back is the remnants of an original instruction label. There is some rust on the metal and the glue has loosened between the two center pieces of wood. The top and bottom metal brackets are holding it together and it could be reglued by removing these brackets temporarily. There are a few other minor separations in the wood strips. The other receipt holder was made by Yawman and Erbe, also from Rochester, New York. This one measures 11" inches tall and 7.5" inches wide. The metal has some rust and there is a small piece missing from the lower right hand corner. The third piece is a basic clipboard. Around the "keyhole" at the top it says 'Improved Favorite' and has the patent date Sep 19, 1905. It measures about 13" tall and 9" wide. The metal is rusty and the spring mechanism is a bit stiff.
