Antique 1886 Parallel Edition Illustrated Pictorial Holy Family Bible W/ Clasps

This listing is for an 1886 Parallel-Column Edition pictorial family bible with "2000 scripture illustrations on steel, wood, and in colors." The bible has two clasps to hold it closed and the pages have gold gilt edges. The bible is very heavy (approximately 15 pounds) and has spaces in the back for family portraits. No portraits are included, but there are several births and deaths noted in the appropriate sections. We didn't find any other notes in the other sections. The top cover and first few pages have separated from the spine, and the outer cover on the spine is separated from the spine itself. The pages appear to be in very good condition for their age, showing some discoloration around the edges as can be expected. We noticed some tears on the portrait pages and there may be other small tears we didn't see. We don't believe any pages are missing but cannot guarantee it.
