Antique Circa 1850 Empire Walnut Card Game Table Lyre Base Folding Swivel Top
This listing is for a gorgeous antique Empire period game table. It is a walnut table, circa 1850, with a lyre base, scrolled feet, center finial, hand-cut dovetails and a flip top that swivels. The table measures 28" inches tall and 34" inches square (when open). It can be used folded or open, or up against a wall with one half flipped up. There is space under the top for storing cards or other games. The table is in very good overall condition with a few cracks in the lower part of the lyre, some minor dings, and some cup marks on the side that faces up when folded in half. When opened, the top has several small dings and marks. There is a small piece missing from the carving on the lower front. One of the metal caster wheels is broken off, but the wheel is included. The finial sits loosely in place, and the hinges are a little loose. We have a very reasonable opening bid price, so don't miss your chance to win!
