This listing is for an antique 8.5' foot Tonkin Montague Rapidan Bamboo Fly Rod. This is a 3-section rod that also includes the extra tip section. The extra tip looks as though it was never used. The rod is in very good overall condition with part of the decal still in place. The eyelets are all undamaged and firmly wrapped, and the ferrules are in good shape with no cracks or other visible problems. The sections fit together very snugly. The bamboo looks to be free of any cracks. There is some very minor wear to the bamboo towards the end of the tip that's been used. The cork handle shows some minor wear. The rod comes in the original Montague tube with part of the label still in place. The tube has black tape around the center area and is missing the end cap.
