Vintage 1982 Wayne Filan 8" Hand Blown Studio Art Glass & Platinum Jar Vase
This listing is for a wonderful hand blown glass and platinum vase made by Wayne Filan in 1982. Wayne helped to set up the hot glass facilities in Philadelphia College of Art in 1971 with Bill Bernstein and Dan Daly. The vase measures just under 8" inches tall and is a smoky color with the upper part having a purple tint. It is signed on the bottom. According to a note on the back of the card that came with the vase, it was purchased at the American House Gallery of Contemporary Crafts in New York. This piece is quite heavy, weighing nearly three pounds. It is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. We have a low opening bid price, so don't miss your chance to win!
