1884 Aetna EAPG Jumbo Elephant Pattern Pressed Glass Dome Top Butter Dish W/ Lid
This listing is for an early American pressed glass "Jumbo" pattern dome top butter dish. According to our research, this piece was created by Aetna in 1884 to commemorate P.T. Barnum's circus elephant Jumbo. The piece consists of the base and lid. Nothing else is included. "Jumbo" himself has a frosted finish while the rest of the glass is clear. The lid has a few scuffs here and there but appears to be free chips and cracks. We notice the base has some chips on the undersides of the handles, the underside of the knife rest, and on the feet. This listing has no reserve price so don't miss your chance to win!
