This listing is for a vintage Blickensderfer No. 7 typewriter with the scientific/non-qwerty keyboard (serial #42205). It's in good condition overall with scuffs and wear from use. Some keys seemed to work when we tried them (including the space bar) and the rest would either stick or not move. It's possible that they just need lubrication or adjustment, but we aren't sure. The typewriter comes with the oak case but does not come with any other parts or accessories. Due to the nature of vintage typewriters, it's selling as-is. This listing has no reserve price so don't miss your chance to win!

From Typewritermuseum.org:
"In 1891, George C. Blickensderfer (1850-1917) invented a small portable writing machine that featured the ability to change type styles at will. This unique design formed the basis of a typewriter manufacturing business that lasted almost thirty years ... Models 1, 2, & 3 apparently were made in very limited numbers because none have been found to date. The Model No. 5, introduced in 1893 at the Columbian Exposition, was manufactured for many years and sold primarily to price conscious buyers ... The Model 7, offered in 1897, became the deluxe version of the basic design. Both models evolved with time and were quite popular...All Blickensderfer machines were offered in aluminium versions after 1906, but very few of these were produced. The No. 7 was superceded by the Model 8 in 1908."
