1847 1848 Zachary Taylor Campaign Token Medal Never Surrenders I Ask No Favors +
This listing is for a rare token from Zachary Taylor's presidential campaign. It appears to be from 1847 or 1848. The obverse has a depiction of Taylor with the words "MAJOR GENL. Z. TAYLOR. - NEVER SURRENDERS." The reverse has the words "I ASK NO FAVORS & I SHRINK FROM NO RESPONSIBILITY." Also found there are his famous battles: "PALO ALTO RESACA DE LA PALMA MONTEREY BUENA_ VISTA." The token measures about 1 5/8" in diameter by 3/16" thick and weighs almost 2 ounces! It has what we would consider minor wear. This listing has no reserve price so don't miss your chance to win!
