This listing is for an antique "Improved" eight day wall clock made in Bristol, Connecticut. It has a clear window on top of the door and a mirror in the bottom. The maker appers to be Stever & Prindle which means the clock was probably made in the late 1830s or early 1840s, based on when Stevers and Prindle were operating. We didn't find much information about them making clocks together, so this could be a rare piece. It comes with a pendulum, key, and the other parts shown. The clock has some scuffs and wear. There is a chip in the lower left edge of the door, and one in the bottom right hand corner. There is some wear around where the latch enters. The clock face has some wear around the edges and a horizontal crack near the middle. One of the tiny hooks that hold the clock face in place is missing, and there is no pin keeping the hands in place. The inner label is partially intact and has some red paint around it. When we started to wind the clock, we encountered some resistance and did not want to damage it so that was the extent of our testing. For this reason, the clock is selling as-is with no guarantees and may need adjustment and/or repair. This listing has no reserve price so don't miss your chance to win!
