Vtg Antique Mary Louise McLaughlin Hand Painted Pottery Ceramic Table Vase Lamp
This listing is for a lovely vintage lamp hand painted by Mary Louise McLaughlin (1847-1939). It has been in the seller's family since the 1930s if not earlier. Mary's signature is found at the bottom. When we removed the base to look for more information, we saw some minor chips and a stamp that ends with the letters "LER". The lamp worked well when we tested it before listing. The lamp does not come with a bulb or shade and has some scuffs and moderate crazing. This listing has no reserve price so don't miss your chance to win!
Approximate measurements: 15" high; 5" wide
"Mary Louise McLaughlin (September 29, 1847 - January 19, 1939) was an American ceramic painter and studio potter from Cincinnati, Ohio, and the main local competitor of Maria Longworth Nichols Storer, who founded Rookwood Pottery. Like Storer, McLaughlin was one of the originators of the art pottery movement that swept the United States."
