12 The Works Of Edmund Burke 1901 Beaconsfield Edition #41/1000 Leather Marbled
This listing is for a complete 12-volume set of the Works of Edmund Burke published by Little, Brown and Company in Boston in 1901. This is the Beaconsfield Edition of which this set is number 41 of only 1,000 sets produced. The bindings are a combination of leather and marbled material and each book has a red cloth bookmark. The title page describes the books as "The Writings and Speeches of The Right Honourable Edmund Burke." The next page elaborates: "A Vindication of Natural Society on the Sublime and Beautiful Present State of the Nation, etc." Each volume has a hand-colored engraving by the title page, and we noticed an uncolored engraving towards the back of the final volume. The books are in good condition overall with wear on the bindings which is mainly on the edges and corners. We flipped through each volume and the pages looked very good with no apparent foxing, discoloration, tears or holes. Due to time constraints, we aren't able to closely examine every page so we cannot guarantee that they are all free of blemishes. Due to their condition, the books are selling as-is. This listing has no reserve price so don't miss your chance to win!
Please disregard the "spots" in the photos; they are from the camera and are not present on the pages themselves.
