Vintage Leedy Solo Tone 4 String Tenor Jazz Banjo W/ Resonator Elton Tail + Case
This listing is for a Vintage Leedy Solo Tone 4 String Tenor Banjo. This is a beautiful vintage instrument with many fine details. It measures 34" long and the fretboard is 16", serial number 292. The resonator has a diamond design flange and the head is made of what seems to be an animal hide. There is mother of pearl inlay in the fretboard and the headstock. It has an "Elton" tailpiece and a "Grover" bridge. The tuning pegs are tension pegs and appear to be original. The binding on the neck near the fretboard seems to have some pieces replaced and one of the screws that holds the Resonator on doesn't match the others. There is some warping on the back of the resonator, and the headstock has some wood chipping. There is some wear on the instrument from age and storage but it appears to be in good condition. The banjo comes with a hardshell case that shows moderate to heavy wear. We have a low opening bid and no reserve price on this item, don't miss your chance to win!
