Vintage SS Stewart 2D Grade 5 String Banjo Open Back 19 Frets Remo Parts/Repair

This listing is for a S.S. Stewart 5 String Open Back Banjo with a Soft Shell Case. This Banjo is a beautiful vintage instrument that says "S.S. Stewart Phila. PA, 2D Grade" on the Dowel Stick and on the inside of the tone ring. This instrument has a Remo Weather King Head and 4 of the tuning pegs are in very good condition. It is missing the 5th String Tuning Peg. The Neck is straight but there is some damge to the fretboard near the body of the banjo. The banjo measures 32 1/2" and the neck is 17 1/4" with a 10" Head. The tailpiece is missing its cover and most of the bracket hooks are undone and not fitting properly. One of the screws on the inside of the tone ring has been replaced but all other parts appear to be original. Also included in this listing is a gray soft shell case and about 4 picks. The case has the letters LA on the top. This instrument certainly needs some work to be in working condition again but is a very solid banjo.
