This listing is for an antique custom made flat top steamer trunk/chest. The seller bought it from the third owner, an elderly woman, in 1989. That woman had acquired it from her sister when she was 18 and had owned it for 70 years. The trunk originally belonged to their stepmother whose first husband had built it. More information can be found in the included letter of provenance. The trunk has two trays and four caster wheels. The front has an Eagle brand lock with a matching key (#28). The clasps are both marked "4." The trunk is in very good condition overall with some scuffs and wear including in the leather straps. We noticed one rivet is missing to the right of the right clasp, and a few others are loose. This listing has no reserve price so don't miss your chance to win!
