Emile Bruchon Art Nouveau Bronzed Spelter Statue Figure Gavroche Signed
This listing is for an antique statue by the artist Emile Bruchon. The title is Gavroche ("urchin") and based on our research, the material is known as bronzed spelter which appears to mean that it is hollow bronze as opposed to solid. The statue has the identifying plate on the front that reads "GAVROCHE par Bruchon, Sculpt" and is marked "Fabrication Francaise Made In Paris France." The piece is also signed but the signature does not appear to be that of Emile Bruchon; rather, the name appears to be that of another sculptor whose signature we can't quite decipher. The statue has scuffs and wear in the finish but does not appear to have any cracks, missing pieces, or repairs. This listing has no reserve price so don't miss your chance to win!
