This listing is for a rare signed letter from John D. Rockefeller, Jr. (1874–1960). The typed and hand signed letter was sent to Hugh O'Donnell of the New York Times in January of 1919, in response to an invitation. It measures about 8" x 10 1/2" inches. There is a stamp at the top that reads 'Oct 6, 1920 Hugh A. O'Donnell File'. The letter is in good condition with several fold lines. It will be shipped flat for protection. We are also including a postcard of Mr. and Mrs. John Rockefeller arriving at the train station in Cleveland. The postcard was mailed in 1914 from Cleveland to Port Huron, Michigan. John Davison Rockefeller, Jr. (January 29, 1874 — May 11, 1960) was an American financier and philanthropist who was a prominent member of the Rockefeller family. He was the only son among the five children of Standard Oil co-founder John D. Rockefeller and the father of the five famous Rockefeller brothers. In biographies, he is commonly referred to as "Junior" to distinguish him from his father, "Senior".
