This listing is for an original watercolor painting by world renowned artist Robert N. Blair. Blair (1912-2003) was an American painter and sculptor from the Western New York-Buffalo area. A close contemporary of painter Charles Burchfield, Blair was twice-endowed with a Guggenheim Fellowship, in (1946-1947) and (1951-1952). His watercolors have been exhibited widely in both the United States and Europe, and they have earned many prestigious awards. His paintings are also found in numerous museums and private collections including The Metropolitan Museum of Art. This particular piece is a colorful landscape that was painted in Fletcher, Vermont in the 1960s. It is signed in the lower left corner. The painting itself measures about 21 1/2" x 29" inches and is in excellent condition with no visible issues. It is professionally matted and framed, and is ready for hanging.
