Antique 1832 Austrian Meerschaum Tobacco Pipe w/ Carved Crest & Silver Marks NR!
This listing is for a wonderful antique Meerschaum tobacco pipe. Based on our research of the silver marks, this is Austrian silver, was made in 1832, and the silver content is .8125 percent. The pipe has a carved crest on the front with a head of armor, crown, and shield with XXX and a hammer. We were not able to find this particular crest online. It has a wooden stem with a bone(?) mouthpiece. The meerschaum part measures 3 3/4" inches tall (not including the silver flip top). The stem measures about 9" inches long including the mouthpiece. The pipe is in excellent overall condition with scuffs and scratches from use over the years. There is a small chip on the edge near where the stem enters the pipe. Please see the detailed photos below and contact us with any questions before bidding. We have no reserve price, so don't miss your chance to add this beauty to your collection.
