This listing is for a lovely antique 9-drawer desk. Our client has had it in her family for many years but now needs the space so she's decided to sell it. We've seen similar desks referred to as "pedestal", "double pedestal", "knee hole", and/or "partners". It consists of three parts: the top portion and two side pedestals. Unlike some we have seen, this particular desk does not have leather on top. The drawers feature a lovely veneer and an early variety of dovetail contruction. The desk itself does not seem to be marked, but the locks are marked "Hobbs Machine Made Lever London." The desk has some scuffs and wear and several trim pieces are loose. The desk does not come with a key, but any locksmith should be able to find one that would work.
