Boston Post 1918 Babe Ruth Photo Red Sox World Series Win + WWI Newspaper Lot NR
This listing is for a great collection of six Boston newspapers from 1918. One of them is a Boston Post dated September 6th. It covers the Red Sox winning the first game of the World Series in which Babe Ruth pitched a six-hit shutout against the Cubs in Comiskey Park. There is a great article that starts on the front page and has a photo of the Babe on page 14. Two of the other papers also have sports pages with articles about the Red Sox. The main headlines on all the papers are, of course, related to WWII. They are in fair condition with yellowing and tears along the edges and fold lines. The papers are very brittle. Please see the photos below and contact us with any questions before bidding. We have a low opening bid price, so don't miss your chance to win!
