Vtg Mexican Mask Lot Jaguar Dog Devil Huichol Quechua Nayarit Folk Art Tin Wood
This listing is for a great collection of 12 vintage masks. We believe that they are all from Mexico, but are not sure about a few of them. They are made of wood, paper mache, and metal. The two yellow ones and the white one appear to be jaguars or dogs. One of the smaller ones has a tag on the back that says it is a llama and was made by Quechua Indians and bought near Cuzco. The tall wooden mask with orange and blue paint has 'Nayarit Huicholes In Dios' written on the back. The two large tin masks have marbles for eyes. The masks measure from about 4" to 12" inches tall and are in good overall condition with scratches, dings, cracks, and wear from age. The large yellow one has a piece missing from his right ear. Please see the photos below and contact us with any questions before bidding. We have a low opening bid, so don't miss your chance to add these masks to your collection!
