Vtg Original WWII Era 16mm Film Reel War Propaganda Movie Mr Blabbermouth NR!

This listing is for a vintage original 16mm movie called 'Mr. Blabbermouth'. This reel comes from a large collection of 16mm movies that we will be selling over the next few weeks. These were movies that were shown to US troops all over the world during WWII and then put in storage for the past 70 years. Most of them have cases that are stamped 'O.M.P.S. U.S. ARMY'. Some have shipping labels to a variety of locations such as Italy, India, and Ohio. This particular movie does not have a case. It is in good overall condition with no vinegar smell. Mr. Blabbermouth! 19 minutes August 8, 1942 (USA)

Following Japan's attack on Pearl Harbor, America was rife with rumors about the size of Japan's armed forces and how well-equipped they were to wage war against the U.S. Using animation, the first part of this film dispels these rumors by showing that the U.S. had more raw materials and more fighting ships. The narrator also cautions moviegoers against spreading rumors (which are often initiated by enemy infiltrators to create fear and dissention) and believing everything they read in the newspapers. Just because "they say" something, that doesn't make it true.
