Vtg 1942 16mm Movie Next Of Kin 3 Film Reels Jack Hawkins US War Dept WWII Case

This listing is for a vintage original 16mm movie from 1942 titled 'The Next Of Kin', starring Mervyn Johns, John Chandos, and Nova Pilbeam. There is a small role played by Jack Hawkins, bewst known for appearing in three Best Picture Academy Award winners: The Bridge on the River Kwai (1957), Ben-Hur (1959) and Lawrence of Arabia (1962). This movie comes from a large collection of 16mm movies that we have been selling. These were movies that were shipped by the US Army to military bases all over the world during WWII to show to the troops. The outer case is stamped 'O.M.P.S. U.S. ARMY' (Overseas Motion Picture Services). There are two labels on the case, one from the US War Department and one from the Drexel Institute Military Department to the Philadelphia Signal Depot. The inner metal cases have labels from the Army War College in Washington, DC. There are three film reels inside the case. They look to be in good overall condition with no vinegar smell. The first reel appears to start with a traning film. The last few feet of each film reel shows creasing and wear. There is a small section at the beginning of the first reel that need to be spliced together. We do not have the equipment to view the film, so it is being sold as-is.
