Vtg Couturier Laporte Ind Brass Saxophone W/ Mouthpiece + Robert White Hard Case
This listing is for a vintage Couturier saxophone made in Laporte, Indiana. Based on the serial number (11904 CL), it was most likely made in 1922 to 1923. The sax comes in hard case with the label "Robert L. White Old Arcade Cleveland O." Also in the case are two mouthpieces, a shoulder strap, and a small metal endpiece that we had to take off the sax in order to insert the neck. These items have scuffs and wear from use. We were able to move all of the moving parts on the sax, but some keys didn't spring up as well as others. There are numerous small areas of oxidation and the soldering of the bell to the sax has given way. The sax has not been tested so it's selling as-is. The case is missing the handle and one of the metal parts that held the handle on. The latch appears to work properly but there is no key to lock it. Please see the photos below to see everything that is included, and contact us with any questions before bidding. We have a low opening bid and no reserve price so don't miss your chance to win!
Approximate measurements of sax as assembled: 27" tall; 11" length of neck and moutpiece
