Vintage Signed 1977 Scott Antes Appalachian Mountain Dulcimer Cherry Spruce NR!
This listing is for a beautiful vintage Mountain Dulcimer. There is a label on the inside where it is signed and dated by the luthier. It reads 'No. 1043 May 15, 1977 Scott E. Antes Massillon, Ohio'. The dulcimer looks to be made of cherry with a spruce top, but we cannot be certain. It measures just under 37" inches long and about 7.75" inches wide at the widest point. The depth, not including the fretboard, is just under 2.25" inches. There are only 3 strings currently on the dulcimer, but it seems to have a lovely tone. It is in good overall condition with some light scratches and small dings. There is one 4" crack on the far side near the first and second frets. The dulcimer comes in a cloth bag.
