This listing is for a vintage pair of Pioneer CS-88A speakers. They come with the instructions, owner's kits, polishing cloths, and more. The seller is a veteran who got these while in the service, so the owner's kits are designated "For U.S. Military Personnel Only". The speakers were working well when last used. We tested them briefly with our receiver and they produced good, clean sound. No further testing was performed. The speakers are in very good cosmetic condition with minor signs of use. One of the side panels is dull compared to the others, and we don't know the reason why. The foam around the woofers and midrange appear to be in good shape. The foam around the tweeters has deteriorated and needs to be replaced. Please see the photos below to see everything that is included, and contact us with any questions before bidding. We have a low opening bid and no reserve price so don't miss your chance to win!
The shipping price you see is merely an estimate for shipping the speakers in two large, heavy boxes to the West Coast. To the East Coast, it should be closer to $135. Please email your zip code for a more accurate estimate.
As our client told us, this item comes from "a complete stereo package that I put together via mail order while stationed in Vietnam in 1971. I used the equipment state side for approximately twenty years, but after moving a couple of times, and having a family, I decided to store everything in warm storage. [...] everything powers up, and I can only assume everything works."
