This listing is for a vintage Dual 1219 turntable. It comes with a nice wooden cabinet, cartridge gauge, the 45 adapter, and the owner's manual. It does not include a cartridge or stylus, but we have a Shure V15-II D12 cartridge and Shure Supertrack stylus available in another listing. The turntable was working well when last used. We tested it with the cartridge (in our other listing) and it appeared to function normally. The turntable is in very good cosmetic condition with minor signs of use. There is minor peeling on the back of the wooden cabinet, and some chipping and wear on the bottom "board". The turntable will be packed very well for shipping. Please see the photos below to see everything that is included, and contact us with any questions before bidding. We have a low opening bid and no reserve price so don't miss your chance to win!
As our client told us, this item comes from "a complete stereo package that I put together via mail order while stationed in Vietnam in 1971. I used the equipment state side for approximately twenty years, but after moving a couple of times, and having a family, I decided to store everything in warm storage. [...] everything powers up, and I can only assume everything works."
Some information and specifications we found online:
"Despite its versatility and precision, the Dual 1219 is quite easy to operate in either single play or multiple play mode. It is also quite difficult to damage. If you happen to switch to start when the tonearm is locked on the resting post, just wait till the switch returns to neutral, unlock the tonearm and start again. If the speed is set at 45rpm when you have a 33rpm record on the platter, just change the speed accordingly, even if the tonearm is already cycling. You can also do the same with the record size indicator."
