RARE General Electric Titan II Missile Re-Entry Vehicle Heat Shield Sculpture NR
This listing is for a very rare presentation sculpture made by General Electric. It is commemorating the ablative material used in the heat shield of the Titan II missile re-entry vehicle. The sculpture measures about 4.5" high (including the wooden base). The attached plaque is inscribed, "Century Series Ablative Material Used In Titan II Re-Entry Vehicle Heat Shield. General Electric. Burlington, Vermont". This item is in very good to excellent condition with some minor scuffs on the wooden base. The base is missing one of the felt pads on the bottom.
