45 WWII US Army Air Force Press Photo Lot Pacific Theater General MacArthur B-25

This listing is for a great collection of 45 rare US Army WWII Press Photos. These are all original photos, not reproductions or reprints. They were all taken in New Guinea, the Philippines, and Australia. There is one that shows General MacArthur in New Guinea after an inspection flight. There are three photos of Lt. Colonel Richard Carmichael talking to the press. Carmichael was an ace pilot who went on to become a two-star General. There are also two of Major Davy(?), another ace, talking to the press. One shows a Japanese bomber shot down during a night raid on Darwin, Australia. One shows the survivors of a US Minesweeper QUAIL that was sunk by the Japanese off of Corregidor. There are several that show B-25 bombers in action. The smallest ones show scenery around Australia. Most of them are bagged and boarded for protection. The backs of most photos have descriptions of the images and US Army military censor stamps. The previous owner made copies of many descriptions and slipped them in front of the photos so you can read them without removing the photos. They range in size from 2.5"x3.5" up to 8"x10" inches.
