8" Vtg Antique Brass Microscope Marked "12" On Base W/ Wood Wooden Case Box Lot
This listing is for a great little vintage/antique brass microscope with wooden case. Our consignor purchased it at the auction of a retired gunsmith. The microscope has one eyepiece, three tiny objectives that screw together, an adjustable magnifying glass, and one mirror. The microscope moves up and down when you turn the dials, and the arms on the slide tray move back and forth. The swivel base allows you to set in your choice of angls. The only marks we could find on the microscope were the number "12" in two places inside the base. It's in good condition overall with a nice patina and some scuffs and wear from use. The wooden case has a block that fits around the base of the microscope to hold it firmly in place for protection. The case has some wear from use and two holes drilled in the bottom whose purpose is unknown to us.
