Vtg Antique 1896 Brass Bausch & Lomb Microscope 22434 Series I 1/6 .82 Objective
This listing is for an antique brass Bausch & Lomb microscope. It has the number "21" on the side of the base and the number "22434" on the back of the base. Assuming that 22434 is the serial number, based on our preliminary research, the microscope was made in 1896. It comes with a primitive wooden box and is outfitted with an eyepiece and a Bausch & Lomb Series I 1/6 0.82 N.A. objective. It appeared to work properly during our brief test (using our own light source). The microscope is missing some parts including the other objective, the stage clips, the mirror, the condenser, and the top cap from the back. There may be other parts missing that we are not aware of. The microscope has scuffs, scratches, finish loss, and other wear from age and use. The wooden case has scuffs, scratches, cracks, and other wear. Please see the photos below to see everything that is included, and contact us with any questions before bidding. We have a low opening bid and no reserve price so don't miss your chance to win!
Approximate range of measurements of microscope in the straight position: 11.5" to 16.5" tall
