Vintage McIntosh C26 Preamplifier w/Wooden Cabinet Works Needs Tinkering NO RES!
This listing is for a Vintage McIntosh C26 Preamplifier with original wooden case. It is being sold by the family of the original owner who were using it until recently. The front glass is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. The preamp is in mostly working condition. The seller said that the left channel went out on the preamp many years ago. It was sent back to McIntosh and they fixed it, but it started cutting out again recently. If he messed with the mode selector knob he said he could sometimes get it to stay on both channels. We set it up for testing and could not get the left channel to work. The metal piece around the selector buttons is loose. Most of the panel lights are very dim or not working. The cabinet is in good condition with some scratches on the top. The preamp is being sold as-is for parts or repair. It will be professionally packed for safe delivery.
