Excellent Condition, I do not think this set was ever used.
They are the newer style, with green trim, though this one has been in the collection for many years, and it has the Herend backstamp and is marked Herend Hungary Haindpainted 503/VBO.
They measure 9 5/8" inches in diameter, and stand 1.5" inches high.
The Queen Victoria pattern came about in 1839 at the first World's Fair in London. The Queen fell in love with this porcelain set and ordered a complete set for the Windsor Castle. In honor of the Queen, Herend named the pattern Queen Victoria. They have made it ever since, though the pattern has changed a little, adding a green border and a little more gold highlight around the rim. The original pattern with no green border is discontinued.
